The College regrets to announce that Sir Ashley Ponsonby, Bt, KCVO, MC passed away on Tuesday 15th June, peacefully at home in Oxfordshire, aged 89. Sir Ashley was elected a Governor of the College in 1960 and served for many years before becoming Emeritus Governor. He is survived by Martha, his wife of 59 years, four sons and 11 grandchildren. The funeral (for family and old friends only) is at 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday 7th July at St Mary's, Wootton, near Woodstock (no flowers). A Thanksgiving Service will be held at 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday 14th September in Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford.
Date for the diary: the next fantastic production of the Bloomsbury Opera will be staged in the College on the 21st, 23rd and 24th of October. This year's production will be Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck. Watch this space for further information about this promising event.
10:10 Campaign - Goodenough College has signed up for the 10:10 campaign with the goal to cut carbon emission by 10% within the next year. The launch date for this project was the 20th April.
