Accommodation

The College offers accommodation for

  • 420 men and women in single study bedrooms and
  • 80 couples with or without children, in self - contained flats, varying in size from one to three bedroom.*

*For the 2011/12 academic year our provision will be reduced due to the refurbishment of William Goodenough House. We will have accommodation for 300 men and women in single study bedrooms in London House on the opposite side of Mecklenburgh Square but no accommodation for couples or families.

On completion of the refurbishment of William Goodenough House in autumn 2012 we will have accommodation for

  • 500 men and women in single study bedrooms of which 200 will have their own private bathroom
  • 100 couples with or without children, - in self-contained flats, varying in size from studios to three bedroom flats.

We will be accepting applications in spring 2012 from couples or families who wish to join the College in autumn 2012 but will accept applications from single students throughout.

All accommodation is fully furnished, centrally heated and equipped with a telephone and broadband internet access.

In single accommodation everything you need is included in the room rate (bedding, hot water and weekly cleaning). Each bedroom is provided with a refrigerator and a wash-hand basin. All rooms in London House have shared single sex bathroom facilities located on each floor. In William Goodenough House single rooms will have their own private bathroom and toilet when they reopen after refurbishment.

Our flats are well equipped with china, glassware, cutlery and cooking utensils and included in the rate is the cost of hot water and central heating. Electricity is not included but is charged separately.  Bedding is not provided in flat accommodation (but can be purchased through the College) and occupants are responsible for the cleanliness of their flats.
