College spaces
Gardens
The College owns the beautiful Mecklenburgh Square Garden which is available for the use of College members and local residents of the Square.
It is a private garden which can only be accessed by keyholders. All College members are entitled to either borrow or hold a key to it.
The Garden contains a single hard tennis court, 4 permanent BBQ pits and a children’s play area. It is Wi-Fi enabled and there are wooden benches throughout which make it an ideal place for outdoor study, a pleasant read or a picnic with friends.

Libraries
Goodenough College has two libraries: the Campbell Stuart Library in William Goodenough House and the Charles Parsons Library in London House. Both provide members with a quiet and comfortable environment, ideally suited to study and leisurely browsing.
The libraries’ collections cover every aspect of the humanities and sciences, allowing members to read widely outside of their own disciplines. The diversity of the collection owes much to its origins: donations of books written by members or alumni, or from their own libraries.
Both libraries are open to all members of the College, twenty-four hours a day.*
*The Campbell Stuart Library in William Goodenough House will be closed during the 2011/12 academic year due to the refurbishment of this building.
