Faith

Though the College is a secular institution its ethos (tolerance through friendship) encourages an open, accepting and inquiring approach to faith. Many religious festivals (such as Eid and Diwali) are celebrated with a view to Members learning about each other's cultures and faith.

The chapel

There is a strong and vibrant Christian community in the College, meeting interdenominationally as "Goodenough Church". Roman Catholics also hold a regular Sunday Mass.

There are weekly Bible study groups, prayer groups and a varied musical programme, which stretches from the traditional (e.g. Choral Evensong and Bach's "St. John Passion") to contemporary charismatic worship. Christian retreats and many social activities take place regularly.

Goodenough Church meets on Sunday mornings at 11am and Mass is said at 9.45am. For fuller details please contact Father Vincent – fr.vincent@goodenough.ac.uk .

The Revd Jennie Hogan, an Anglican Priest, is the College's Faith Advisor.  Jennie serves and supports all members of the College, of all faiths and none. She works with many of the faith groups active within Goodenough.   Jennie is available to everyone for confidential, non-judgemental help and advice.
Morning Prayer is held every weekday in the chapel at 8.30a.m. and a Eucharist takes place on the first Sunday of each month at 11a.m.
