Name:
Alexander Apostolides

Country of Origin:
Cyprus

Studying:
I am currently in the third year of writing my PhD in Economic Hstory.

How you came to London?
I originally came to London to do my Masters at the London School of Economics.

Why you chose to live in Goodenough College?
I had heard lots of positive feedback on the college but it was not until some of my friends moved in that I realised what a great vibe and atmosphere the college had and decided to move in while writing my PhD.

What you think is special about Goodenough College?
I love the social dimension to the college as well as the wide variety of activities and events on offer. The college allows students to balance their studies with socialising and enjoying the city.  Being able to speak to other students in the same position as yourself is really comforting and minimises the feeling of loneliness.

Your typical week at Goodenough?
I get involved in various activities going on at the college depending on my workload which is considerable and also quite solitary. This week I played basketball and Frisbee with the college clubs and partied the night away at one of the college parties.

What Goodenough means to you?
Goodenough is centrally located making it easy to keep in touch with friends living all over the city. The college gives you the opportunity to express yourself.  Since my partner came to join me in London we have applied for joint accommodation and this is excellent for both of us.
